Intense sort of revelations.. and that’s great.. Our chemistry melds together and we get what we need from each other at that time.. An hour later I’m home watching the tube and I could give a shit about that person!”
Major Chem 2 : “Yeah.. yeah!! Totally.. I know exactly what you’re saying. I absolutely totally know what you’re saying and I completely agree”
Chem 1 & 2 laugh loudly together.. Chem 1 continues talking loudly. Chem 2 listens intently, sipping his water, happy enough for a time anyway.
My wife often says, “we should do [insert whatever activity/friend gathering] more often” and it is always a great idea at the time…but, then, truly, the rain washes the sand away and I find what’s buried on the beach and I hate it…so, I don’t want to go back there again until the wind blows it into drifts…and I forget what it was that didn’t stab me deep enough to leave a memory.
